About the vacancy
Position Summary:
The R&D Assistant supports the R&D department in daily operations. This role involves assisting the R&D Manager with product development tasks, laboratory testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn within a dynamic R&D environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Ensure all daily R&D documentation is completed, accurate, and properly filed.
• Support all activities within the R&D department.
• Prepare, collect, and/or create documents required for regulatory compliance in Aruba and other markets.
• Review product packaging artwork to ensure accuracy.
• Assist the R&D Manager with product development work, laboratory testing, and related technical tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in English, Dutch, and Papiamento (spoken and written).
• Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Flexible, team-oriented, and able to collaborate effectively.
• Organized, professional, and able to work efficiently under time constraints.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully.
• MBO level education in Chemistry or a relevant field.
• Affinity with chemistry is an advantage.
• Good communication abilities across departments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to interpret laboratory test results.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop skills.
