We are looking for a dynamic a new team-member for the position of:

PRODUCTION TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Responsible for providing hands-on technical assistance to the Production Manager (understanding of production equipment, strong troubleshooting skills), supporting the daily operations of the production process, and supervising the production team as needed with the ability to ensure that production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Provide technical support to the Production Manager in all aspects of daily production operations.
• Assist in monitoring and supervising the production team to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting and minor maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for timely resolution of equipment issues.
• Monitor equipment and involve the Maintenance Department to provide general maintenance.
• Support the implementation of production schedules, workflow planning, and resource allocation.
• Assist in maintaining production records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Assist the Production Manager in designing and planning the production areas and production machinery and coordinating all production processes.
• Participate in the training and development of production staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Communicate effectively with other departments including Quality Control, R&D, Warehouse, Field and Maintenance to support production needs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects as directed by the Production Manager.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree / HBO technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of machinery and equipment, with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, equipment schematics, and production documentation.
• Good leadership and supervisory abilities, with experience in team coordination.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with production management software is an advantage.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Must be fluent in Papiamento, English and Spanish.
